UK Wildfire Operations Dashboard

20-second user guide
🔥 Refresh — Click the fire to update all live data. The time underneath shows when it was last refreshed.
Current Fire Intelligence — Current UK wildfire reports identified from emergency services and news sources.
Critical / Concern / Watch — Sites within <5 / 5–10 / 10–20 miles of qualifying fire activity.
Raw VIIRS — Individual satellite heat detections. Not every detection is a wildfire.
Satellite Cluster — Multiple nearby satellite detections, giving stronger evidence of possible fire activity.
Verified Fire — A current fire supported by a reliable source and usable location.
Verification Pending — A recent fire report found but not yet sufficiently confirmed.
Click for info — Opens the supporting news/emergency-service source in a separate tab.
Temporary Site — Enter any UK postcode in Find to plot and assess it temporarily. It does not affect the permanent 198 sites.
Remember: The dashboard combines reported incidents, satellite detection, distance and weather for situational awareness. A proximity alert does not mean the monitored site itself is on fire.
